Tell us a little about your experiences since. Where have you worked? Where do you work now?

Straight after graduating, I completed a 2 month internship at Humaan and was lucky to be offered a full-time design role. I have been working there for 5 years now and am soon to start freelancing on my own.

Advice for TAFE’s current students? 

Keep learning and up-skilling :) Technology is moving so fast, it's important to stay on top of the ever-evolving design industry.

What do you think are the most important qualities in a graphic designer?

Great problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills (with your design team, workplace and clients), curiosity to ask questions and tease out information to move forward with a brief, passion and dedication to continuously learn and upskill.

How did you get your first graphic design job?

I was lucky to be contacted by Jay from Humaan, he saw my portfolio at the TAFE grad show.
